Biker injured in hit and run

A MOTORCYCLIST was injured in a hit and run incident.
Police in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the collision in the town.
At approximately 2.20 pm on Saturday, an incident occurred between a white Peugeot 306 and a Yamaha motorcycle on St. Swithins Road.
The motorcycle rider sustained an elbow injury in the incident and was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the white Peugeot 306 left the scene without leaving any details and did not wait to talk to the police.
Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Bridport police, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police urgently.
“The driver was aware of the incident, but left the scene of the collision without exchanging details. I urge him to do the right thing and speak with the police.
“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
