Emily White, aged 18, shares her tips if your new year’s resolution is to do something charitable:

“MY sister and I decided we wanted to do something about the millions of Syrian refugees who were suffering, so my dad designed wristbands which we could sell for charity.

“If you’re new year’s goal is to be more charitable, I would suggest finding out about local charity events in the community that you can get involved with.

“And, if possible, find like-minded people who will support you, because that makes a massive difference.

“And if you want you can purchase wristbands or make a donation to the charity.

“You can do this by dropping into The Prayerhouse Weymouth, Newstead Road, Weymouth, DT4 0RX (opposite ASDA, behind the Squash and Fitness centre) or contact us on 07899 737540.”
