A UNIQUE training day learning how to observe and identify a range of sea creatures will be run by the Dorset Wildlife Trust and charity Marinelife.
The ‘cetacean surveyor’ distinctive event on March 8 will run from 10am to 4pm and will teach those interested how to observe and identify whales, dolphins and seabirds, together with learning data recording methods used for scientific research.
Course members will be able to record from the shore and at sea and learn how to report their sightings for conservation. The event will take place at the Taste Cafe at Chesil Beach on Portland, and prices are £40 or £35 for Dorset Wildlife Trust members.
