THREE children attempting to climb cliffs on Portland and two walkers near Durdle Door sparked alert for coastguards.
Portland Bill coastguard rescue team were called shortly before 4pm yesterday after reports of three children trying to climb cliffs at Hallelujah Bay on Portland.
The rescue team attended the scene but established the children had come back down from the cliffs and left the bay.
Shortly afterwards, Swanage coastguards conducted a search after concern was expressed for two women who had asked for directions to Durdle Door from a road above Anvil Point.
Nothing untoward was found and due to the onset of darkness and rain it was thought the two women had turned back.
