TRANSITION Town Dorchester held a traditional Wassailing celebration for the community to enjoy at its Railways Orchard, above.
The celebration included traditional wassailing songs and music while those attending enjoyed cider, apple juice and apple cake.
Wassailing is a tradition to drive away evil spirits from an orchard and ensure a good harvest.
After the celebration at the Orchard, off Monmouth Road, the celebration moved on to Transition Town Dorchester’s Community Orchard in Poundbury and then to its Community Farm.
