THE Gloucestershire Football Association is to start up a brand-new six-a-side adult league at its Oaklands Park football centre in Almondsbury.
Teams from across the county are invited to join up for the Sunday sessions, which are set to commence at the end of March and will take place on the centre’s new 3G artificial surface.
The 12-week programme will see 50-minute games kicking off at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Trophies and prizes are to be presented to the eventual winners.
There is a one-off £40 fee to join the league while each team will pay £30 per week for the duration of the spring campaign.
GFA business development manager Jenny Pead said: “This is an exciting initiative for us and a great opportunity for local players to enjoy the benefits of our new state-of-the-art 3G pitch in a sociable, friendly and competitive environment.”
