Can someone from the police or highways explain to a layman why it is illegal to leave a skip on a road at night without any lights on it to warn drivers yet it’s all right to leave a steel container in the path of traffic going to Portland without any lamps or fluorescent signage what so ever.
The office or toilet block has been there for more than a week. Fair enough it’s got a few plastic cones, but they don’t glow and are only some ten feet away from the obstacle.
If that was you or I, we would have half the police force of Dorset and several officials quoting all the bylaws under the sun and imposing vast fines.
Why is it different for Wessex water?
