DEPUTY Prime Minister Nick Clegg praised apprentice chefs on his visit to River Cottage.
The visit marked the first anniversary of the chef apprenticeship scheme. Mr Clegg visited the headquarters to meet the apprentices currently on the scheme and to take a tour of the premises, the base for Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s programmes on Channel 4.
During his visit to River Cottage HQ, based near Axminster, Mr Clegg helped the chefs cook breakfast before taking a tour of the facility.
