STAFF at a Poundbury store added a sporty touch to their day behind the café till.

Luke Earley, the manager of the Potting Shed deli at Olives et Al on Poundbury, said staff did laps of Poundbury while running the café to raise £321.53 in customer donations for Sports Relief.

He said: “It was about 1.4 miles to lap Poundbury and we managed 44 laps between nine of us which was 61.6 miles in all.”

Luke said the Potting Shed’s customers gave generously to the cause. “We had a competition running at the same time for customers to donate and enter to guess how far we would run.

“The winner was Trevor Stockley who won a meal for two.”
