A WAREHAM woman is returning to her Dorset roots after being appointed global brand marketing manager for Sea Life centres.

Originally from East Street, Wareham, 32-year-old Clare Wiggins will be championing the growing network of Sea Life centres.

A former Parkstone Grammar pupil, Clare fondly recalls many visits to Weymouth Sea Life as a child.

She began her career with Red Bull, helping host their Trafalgar Square Railstorm event, with snowboarders from 10 different countries showcasing their snowboard skills.

Following this she then went on to mastermind the career of everyone’s favourite fox, Basil Brush, in the capacity of brand manager through six TV series plus the Saturday morning children’s show Basil’s Swap Shop.

Clare then spent five years with Classic Media and for the last three years has headed up events and activities based around the Moshi Monsters brand.

Now she has joined the marketing team at parent company Merlin’s Poole headquarters and headed straight back to Weymouth to meet some of the sea creatures at close quarters including the urchins and jellies.
