A WEYMOUTH man has been handed a conditional discharge after he admitted breaching a community order.
Jason Williams, 33, of East Street, was ordered to carry out unpaid work in relation to a charge of affray in 2011.
Dorchester Crown Court heard the original offence came about after an argument Williams, then living on Portland, had with neighbours over a three-piece suite.
Nigel Mitchell, prosecuting, added that the defendant had completed 156.5 hours of a 200-hour unpaid work requirement of a community order when he failed to attend appointments on three occasions in December and January.
In mitigation, Richard Tutt said Williams had been looking after his mother who was ill.
Judge Roger Jarvis revoked the community order, handed Williams a one-year conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £150 costs.
