FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a false alarm at a Weymouth shop this afternoon.

A crew from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service attended Chalbury Wine Stores in Littlemoor Road.

They investigated the scene after receiving reports of a 'strong burning smell'.

A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the smell was caused by an appliance overheating.

I notice that they even find difficulty in reporting that the location of the supposed fire was probably Chalbury Food and Wine.
Of course, the Echo reporters could not be expected to check the correct spelling, they wouldn't evenneed to get off their seats as the premises are listed on the internet with their own website http://www.chalburyf
oodandwine.co.uk/ !
