A mystery object that sparked an alert for Portland Coastguard has been identified as a fire extinguisher bottle.
Portland Coastguard had been alerted to the object at Weston Mouth, Devon, and with help from the fire service identified the object at low tide.
It was safely removed from the beach and disposed of.
