RESIDENTS are being reminded to take to the polls as Weymouth and Portland Borough Council holds an election for one third of its councillors.

Polling day is on Thursday, May 22 and residents can vote between 7am and 10pm.

Verification will take place from 10pm at Weymouth Pavilion.

The count – where the results will be announced – will be held on Friday, May 23.

Results and information can be found at dorsetforyou.com/elections The European elections polling day is also on May 22.

Residents can take to the polls between 7am and 10pm.

Counts for both West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland will take place on Sunday, May 25 to coincide with the announcements for the rest of Europe.
