SLIMMERS inspired by a Dorset youngster’s brave battle with a brain injury have been on a charity mission.
Max Brimble, from Batcombe, sustained a brain injury when he was five after being kicked in the head by a horse.
His mum Carole Potter says he has benefited immensely from the support he has received from local charity Headway Dorset and both she and Max have done their bit to raise funds for the organisation.
Carole and members of the Slimming World Sherborne group took on a six-week challenge to raise funds for Headway.
Members took part in the Slim for Good campaign and shed 226lbs, more than 16 stone, between them.
They also ran raffles and collections to raise a total of £83.12.
