A CAR crashed in to a lamppost in Weymouth earlier this afternoon.

The incident happened in Dorchester Road, Upwey at around 12.30pm.

A black Ford Ka registered to an out of county keeper hit a lamppost near to The Ship Old Inn.

Police are still on scene. There are no reported injuries.

First bus service 10 is being diverted via Littlemoor Road.

It wasn't even a 'lamp post' but the first 'keep left' bollard in the centre of the road when entering Upwey from the by-pass direction!
