THE human remains discovered at the Blacknor Fort cliffs on Portland has been named by police as missing man Kingsley Morgan.
Dorset Police confirmed the human remains that were discovered on Good Friday is believed to be Mr Morgan, who went missing from his home in Portland in June 2012.
The next of kin has been informed.
The remains were spotted by a member of the public on Friday, April 18, at Blacknor Fort in what was described by police as a “remote and inaccessible area”, before police and coastguards recovered the body.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “The body is believed to be that of missing person Kingsley Morgan who went missing from Portland on Friday, June 8, 2012.
“The next of kin have been informed. An inquest has not been opened but the coroner has been informed.”
