A MAN was held after police swooped on a car outside flats on Boot Hill in Weymouth.
A total of five police cars and one police van were involved in the incident this evening.
Their investigations centred on a vehicle in the car park at the back of flats on Boot Hill (Rodwell Road).
The block is next to the alleyway which leads up to Portmore Gardens.
A number of officers were seen to search a grey BMW saloon car which in the car park in what a Dorset Police spokesman said was a 'suspicious incident.'
Two men were searched at the scene, with one man seen to be taken away by police officers in handcuffs. The other man was released.
Police officers also searched the surrounding area.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “There was a suspicious incident involving the car and we stopped the car to make further inquiries.
“One man is currently helping us with our inquiries.”
