A LIFEBOAT was launched after a vessel suffered engine failure near Weymouth.
The incident took place at 2pm this afternoon.
The boat, named 'Dawn Hunter', which had four people on board had broken down with fuel problems near to the Shambles Bank.
Once on scene, the Weymouth RNLI volunteer crew passed a line to the broken down vessel and she was taken under tow.
It had been en route from the Isle of Wight to Weymouth.
