World's finest sailors coming for Sail for Gold Regatta
THE world’s best sailors are set to descend on Weymouth and Portland again.
The Sail for Gold Regatta 2014 takes place at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy from June 2-6 and will welcome athletes from the eight Olympic and two Paralympic sailing classes.
Sailing stars set to compete include Britain’s Paralympic gold medallist Helena Lucas, Olympic silver medallists
Luke Patience in the 470 and Stuart Bithell in the 49er, Olympic windsurfing medallists Nick Dempsey and Bryony Shaw, as well as a number of other GBR sailors who have their sights set on the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
