THIS summer the county council will launch the first of its kind roadshow initiative to ‘Ask Dorset’ about the services it most values.
Cabinet members and senior officers will attend more than 30 separate public consultation events in June and July to talk to residents. So far the council has reduced its overall annual budget by £60m and needs to save a further £43m over the next few years.
It is still spending £250m a year and wants residents to tell it which services they value most or how they think money could be better spent.
The roadshows will kick off on June 2.
