New Bridport to Bradpole cycleway link now officially open
YOUNGSTER Max Cantrell was given the honour of cutting the ribbon on a new cycleway.
The opening ceremony of the link between Bridport and Bradpole is part of a trailway which will eventually connect Maiden Newton and West Bay.
Max, nine, cut the ribbon to officially mark the opening of the cycleway.
The event was also attended by Dorset County Councillors Ron Coatsworth and Ros Kayes, Mayor of Bridport Maggie Ray, representatives from Bradpole Parish Council and Sustrans regional director for the south west Ian Barrett. The scheme is being delivered by charity Sustrans and is supported by Dorset County Council and local landowners. The county council’s operations team built the path.
