VANDALS are being warned their actions will not be tolerated after an attack on Dorchester’s Borough Gardens last night.

A gate was broken off the bandstand and bedding plants have been ripped up.

A spokesman for Dorchester police said: “Behaviour like this will not be tolerated.

Police will continue to work very closely with the garden staff. We have radio contact with them to enable us to work more closely with each other.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting C:14:D:21519.

Echo says -- Police will continue to work very closely with the garden staff. We have radio contact with them to enable us to work more closely with each other.
Does this mean that the garden staff were there when the 'vandals struck'? Not much point in this contact as 'vandals' will be unlikely to cause damage during daylight!
