This amateur show was even better than the professionals
Several years ago I saw an excellent professional production of Jesus Christ Superstar at Bristol Hippodrome.
The ticket was expensive but it was worth it. On Wednesday night, for £14, I saw Weymouth Operatic Society’s ‘amateur’ version and I can honestly say there was very little to choose between the two.
Okay, I’ll come clean, WOS had the edge.
Now that’s value for money.
