VOLUNTEERS are needed to help raise funds for a cancer charity in Weymouth and Portland.
The borough’s Marie Curie Fundraising Group is in need of new members as it approaches its third birthday.
It would like to hear from anyone interested in carrying out collections or organising events.
The group’s treasurer Sue Coleman said: “We are here to raise funds to provide care for those in our community that need it most and we are well supported by the people of Weymouth and Portland.
“We would like to reach out to more patients and to do this we need to get more people involved with our group; whether it’s just supporting the group now and again or as a regular member of our fundraising group.”
