A DEADLINE is looming for a new waste collection scheme.
The Recycle for Dorset service is being rolled out to homes in Weymouth, Portland and parts of West Dorset later this year.
People need to tell Dorset Waste Partnership by Thursday, June 19 whether the service meets their needs so other arrangements can be made and they get the right containers. Households also have until that date to pay for a fortnightly garden waste collection.
The changes affect 50,000 households which should have received a leaflet last month.
The Dorset Waste Partnership says the quickest way to make a request is online via the website at dorsetforyou.com/recyclefordorset
Alternatively residents can call 01305 221040 between 8.30am and 5.30pm, weekdays.
Residents will have a last chance to see the new bins and speak to DWP staff at a roadshow at Tesco, Portland tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 1pm.
