THREE people have been treated for minor injuries after a car went into a lamppost in Weymouth.

It happened on Littlemoor Road, Weymouth, about 4.30pm and the road has been partially blocked.

Police said a silver Toyota Rav 4 registered to a West Yorkshire driver collided with the post near Bincombe Bumps roundabout.

Three people in the vehicle were checked over by paramedics as a precaution but it is not thought anyone has been seriously injured.

Southern Electric has been alerted to the damaged lamppost.

Literally every day there's three or four of these stories. When are people going to start to make a fuss about the standards of driving?

Unless there was a defect to the car (or the driver), I cannot understand how this happened on a relatively wide, clear carriageway in broad daylight and fine weather.

it's always assumed to be poor driving. perhaps says a lot about the negativity of the nation (or just the Echo readers).

If the assumers put their energy into moaning about the state of our roads, perhaps a positive outcome would happen

This particular road is relatively new, no potholes or other obvious defects, I use it myself several times a week, so what 'positive outcome' do you expect to happen?
