BURGLARS have removed a window from a Dorchester supermarket before making off with cigarettes in an overnight raid.
Police say that the burglary at the Co-Operative store in Trinity Street was reported at around 5am this morning with staff believing the break in occurred sometime between 2.20am and 2.35am.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Offenders have removed a whole pane of glass to the shop and taken quite a lot of cigarettes to a high value from the display.”
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 01:54.
