PUPILS from Beaminster School flew to Belfast for a first-hand look at university life.

The Year 9 students, with teacher Pippa Tyler, went to visit to Queen’s University, Belfast, courtesy of Future Scholars Awards, a DofE initiative.

The trip was designed to help raise the aspirations of high achieving pupils who might not otherwise consider further education.

Students who took part were Sarah Allen, Hazel Barnes-Turner, Ella Lane, Vaya Brooks and Sophia Wakar.
