Street in Dorchester closed for emergency repairs
A STREET in Dorchester has been closed whilst emergency repairs are carried out.
Icen Way is closed both ways whilst repairs and electricity work takes place at B3150 High Street.
A spokesman for Southern Electric confirmed an underground electronic cable is being replaced.
He said: "We know there is a fault in the cable somewhere. We spotted the fault on July 24 when two customers went off power.
"We do need to fix this fault. Dorset County Council have given us the authority to do it."
The works will be carried out until 9pm this evening.
