A FARM offering adults with learning disabilities hands on experiences opened up its doors to the public.

Cowden Care Farm near Charminster held an open day and fundraiser, which included the chance to show off its new cob oven that the service users had been making.

Visitors were able to enjoy pizza from the oven and there was also live music, a fun dog show, children’s games and facepainting.

Despite a wet start to the day, which saw some events put back, the sun soon came out and everyone enjoyed themselves while supporting the project at Cowden.

Teresa Perrella, from Cowden Care Farm said: “It was brilliant, it was a bit of a delayed start but everyone had a lovely day and the pizzas were very popular.

“Quite a few people turned up for the dog show with their dogs and that was a lot of fun.”
