ISLANDERS can join artist Ania Bas in some creative workshops on Portland this weekend.

Tomorrow, (Saturday), young people are invited to get creative in the area known as the ‘Ghost Tunnels’.

The creative writing session is from 6.30pm-7.30pm at the High Angle Batteries, (behind IRC The Verne).

The work will be used to inspire an art installations for the b-side festival in September.

No need to book, just come along.

On Sunday, library staff will be out and about with Ania Bas for a creative writing and walking session, discovering the Portland landscape 10.30am-1pm.

Join Ania and other like minded walkers and writers for this creative and inspiring morning, exploring areas from Fortuneswell to Easton.

The work will be used to inspire an art installations for the b-side festival in September.

The walk will start with a morning coffee at Jacksons Gallery and end at The Sugar Loaf Café.

This event is free of charge, but spaces are limited.
