A SITE manager has been recognised for his work on a building project in Poundbury.
Steve Walker was a first-round winner in the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards, which recognises the personal achievement of site managers in creating new UK homes of outstanding quality. Steve, of C G Fry & Son Ltd won the award for work on the South West Quadrant site in Poundbury, joining nearly 450 Quality Award winners from across the UK. They were selected from around 15,000 entrants from across the country.
Jim Lyons, regional director for NHBC, said: “Site managers that win an NHBC Pride in the Job Award are creating houses of an exceptionally good standard. The homes Steve has built in Dorset are without doubt among the best in the UK.”
Steve and other winners will now be shortlisted for regional titles which will be revealed in the autumn.
If successful, Steven will then go forward to contest the national Supreme Winner title in his category at the Pride in the Job Gala Final in January.
