Portland Carers Support Group is urging more people to come along to a meeting.
The group meets on the last Monday of the month at Tophill Surgery Easton from 10.30am until about midday.
A spokesman said: “If you are caring for a friend or family member and would like to meet others in a similar situation why not pop along for a coffee and chat?
“You may be surprised at the help and advice that is available. Our next meeting is on September 29 and we will be welcoming Stephen Green from REMAP. This is a charity that specialises in making and adapting equipment for people with disabilities and mobility problems.
“They have changed many people’s lives for the better, so why not pop along and find out if they could help you or someone you care for.”
