SINGER songwriter Beverley Craven is to take to the stage in Dorset tomorrow night.

Remembered for her classic ballad Promise Me, Beverly is calling in at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, as part of her 36-date nationwide tour.

Her new album Change of Heart, is already being lauded by many as her finest collection to date and the release coincides with her UK tour.

The album, a collection of 11 original songs, demonstrates that this incredible artist still has the unparalleled ability to write from deep within the heart about experiences and emotions that have truly touched her.

Change of Heart is a revealing snapshot of Beverley’s life laid bare, musically documenting the highs and lows of her emotional personal journey.

Beverly’s single Promise Me shot to No. 3 in the UK charts in 1991, following appearances on Wogan and Top of the Pops.

A string of hits including Holding On and Woman to Woman swiftly followed and with the release of her self-titled debut album, which achieved enormous success, Beverley secured her position as one of Britain’s most successful female singer songwriters.

In 1992, Beverley was nominated for no less than three Brit Awards and walked away with the prestigious title of Best British Newcomer.

1993 saw the release of her critically acclaimed follow up album Love Scenes and a UK tour which included sell-out dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Almost 18 years later, Promise Me still boasts airplay across the globe and to date Beverley has sold more than three million albums worldwide; a true test of longevity and her continued popularity.

In 2004, whilst in the middle of promoting her Very Best Of compilation album, Beverley received the devastating diagnosis that she had breast cancer.

Following extensive treatment she was finally given the all clear and stepped back into the limelight in 2009 when she undertook her first UK tour in many years.

Her 2012 autobiography Truth Be Told told the story of her hugely successful career and documented the surprising life events she has encountered over recent years.

Beverley is delighted to be back with her most personal album to date and is very excited at the prospect of performing for her legion of fans across the country.

It is her form of therapy and everyone is guaranteed an emotional experience.
