ORGANISERS of a school music and arts festival say it has been a huge success.

The All Saints School in Wyke Regis held a Music and Arts festival today to raise money for school funds.

The Friends of All Saints School Association (FASSA) have organised the event with the help of students and staff at the school.

Organiser Amanda Dunning said: “It’s gone fantastically well and has been very well supported by the public.

“Thankfully the weather has held out, although we had a plan B for if it rained!”

The event had indoor and outdoor stages with a variety of acts and events, including live singers, bands and fashion shows.

“The event has generated a lot of money for the school and there have been lots of people coming and going all day.” Ms Dunning said.

“It’s gone really, really well and everyone has enjoyed it. I think we will definitely be thinking of doing something similar again in the future.”

The festival ran from noon – 5pm and included a grand prize draw, with £225 donated by local businesses towards prizes, at the end of the day.

The first place prize was £150, which was donated by Tina Purnell Estate Agents, second place was £50, donated by Wyke Smugglers, and the third place prize was £25, donated by Dunnings Automatic LTD.
