Driving instructors from the local area will be taking part in a national relay to raise funds for Children in Need.

The instructors will be meeting at Tesco in Dorchester at noon on Monday, November 10 to take part in the Big Learner Relay.

They will cover the stretch from the county town to Yeovil, with the lead car displaying a special Pudsey roof box.

The Big Learner Relay runs from Thursday, October 30 to Friday, November 14, and will see driving instructors and pupils parading the roof box a total of 2,130 miles around the UK.

Louise Walsh, from the Big Learner Relay committee, said: “This has only been possible because of the enthusiasm and support from so many instructors. “The route has been planned to take in as many places as possible over the two weeks and to involve as many driving instructors and pupils as possible.”
