AS STORM clouds gathered along the Dorset coast yesterday a tornado twisted over Portland.
Echo reader Kate Almond snapped this picture of a funnel cloud twisted above Chesil Beach as rain battered the Jurassic Coast.
She said she was on her lunch break at around 12noon and pulled into a car park at Ferrybridge.
She said she always kept an eye out for funnel clouds in bad weather.
She said: βAt first it was a grey V-shape pointing down towards the sea then it changed, it looked thin and long. It was very windy. I was in awe, I couldn't believe I had finally seen one. I'm very happy that I had my iPhone with me.β
