POLICE are hunting three men wearing balaclava’s who entered a Weymouth house and threatened the occupants.

Detectives in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the aggravated burglary in the Rodwell area of the town, which happed at around 9.50pm on Friday.(3) Police said the three balaclava-clad men entered the house on Bradford Road via an insecure back door. One man was armed with a wrench and threatened the occupants, officers said.

The offenders stole a laptop and money from the victim’s purse and then left at speed in a maroon coloured hatchback car heading toward Chickerell Road.

Detective Constable Daniel Rowan, of Weymouth CID, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victims.

“I would urge anyone who saw suspicious activity along Bradford Road between 9.30pm and 10pm on that day to come forward.

“Also, I would like to hear from anybody who witnessed the described vehicle driving at speed along Chickerell Road at around 10pm.

“Anyone with information about the men responsible should contact police in confidence.”
