MORE than 50 people turned out to hear two UKIP speakers at an event in Dorchester.

The party’s agriculture spokesman and MEP Stuart Agnew joined West Dorset parliamentary candidate David Glossop at the Wessex Royale Hotel.

Mr Glossop spoke about some of the 91 Policies for People published by UKIP following its recent party conference, which was interspersed with film clips from recent UKIP successes and activity.

Mr Agnew discussed his experiences of the processes in the European Union with the help of a power point presentation.

The following morning he went to meet a number of local farmers in the UKIP office in South Street.

They discussed a range of issues from milk prices to entry level standards to qualify for single farm payments.

They also talked about the effects of EU legislation on the Dorset farming industry.
