The Dorchester Civic Society will be looking at how it can make a difference in its upcoming programme of talks.
Neil Howlett, a member of the Frome Town Team and past president of the Frome and District Chamber of Commerce, will be giving a talk to the society on Tuesday, October 21 on experiments in localism.
On Tuesday, November 25 Debbie Dance from the Oxford Preservation Trust will be speaking on the history and regeneration of Oxford Castle, while on Tuesday, February 17 climate change and community engagement specialist Garry Charnock will be discussing the Ashton Haynes going carbon neutral project.
The final talk in the programme on Tuesday, March 17 will see Caroline Kay from the Bath Preservation Trust talk about the past, present and future of the trust. The events, at the Dorford Centre, Top o’Town, Dorchester from 7.30pm, are free but non-members are asked to make a donation of £3.
