A woman was airlifted to hospital after plunging 50 feet down a cliff.
The coastguard helicopter was scrambled after the woman fell from a coastal path near St Alban’s Head into the sea yesterday. She was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
The Swanage lifeboat was also called out but was not needed.
The woman’s condition was not known last night.
