A WOMAN received treatment for neck injuries after being involved in a three vehicle collision in Charminster.

The incident took place in Vicarage Lane at around 1pm.

The collision involved a red Fiat Punto, registered to a man from Warminster, Wiltshire, a green Peugeot 206, registered to a man from Dorchester, and a red Renault Clio, registered to a woman from Dorchester.

A spokeswoman for Dorset Police confirmed an ambulance attended the scene to treat an injured woman.

The lane was partially blocked at the East Hill and Mill Lane junction but it has since been cleared.

A spokeswoman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 1.08pm to a three car road traffic collision.

"There was only one patient because that person had neck injuries and they were taken to Dorset County Hospital."
