COUNCIL staff have achieved a national award for customer services.
Revenue and Benefits staff from West Dorset District Council, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and Purbeck District Council have succeeded in gaining the Government’s Customer Service Excellence Standard award.
The award recognises delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism and staff attitude.
Councillor Anthony Alford, Chairman of the Partnership Board said: “We are proud to have such committed staff and for them to be recognised for their efforts is great news.
“I would like to congratulate staff and thank them for their skill, talent and dedication towards providing the best possible service for residents.”
Borough council finance and assets spokesman Cllr Colin Huckle said: “Well done to staff, a thoroughly deserved award for their great efforts, this is a brilliant example of three councils working effectively together.”
West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland councils have been working in partnership to deliver revenues and benefits services since 2006. Purbeck District Council joined the South Dorset Revenues & Benefits Partnership in 2009.
