A path that was once unusable over Allington Hill in Bridport has been restored.
Local residents have had to fight their way through the overgrown path during the summer for several years but after a meeting between volunteer group the Allington Hillbillies and the coastal ranger service, a management plan was agreed.
After many months of negotiation between Allington Hillbillies, Symondsbury Estates and the Rights of Way Team the access to Allington Hill from Park road has been restored.
Cathy Harvey, co-ordinator of the Allington Hill, Cooper’s Wood and Field Community Group, said: “We would just like to let people know that the path to Allington Hill from Park Road has now been improved.
“So many people stopped using it as it was in bad condition.”
