Fire merger talks continue
Officers from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service have met with officers from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service to discuss future plans.
Both fire authorities agreed to merge their services earlier this month. Officers met yesterday to talk about the next phase in the process.
Work is underway to develop a combination order, which will need to be presented before Parliament. It is hoped a new Combined Fire Authority would come into existence in April 2016.
