PURBECK: The Wareham branch of the Royal British Legion Women’s Section raised £230 during their recent Poppy Appeal coffee morning.
The event took place at Wareham Town Hall.
A spokesman said: “We would like to thank the local shopkeepers for their generous donations to our raffle.
“We were able to raise £230 in spite of the torrential rain and having to close the town hall early.”
