A GROUP of 44 whist enthusiasts raised £500 from their Eastbourne trip for Help for Heroes.
Celia Bowett, of Celia’s Whist Trips, presented the cheque along with other members of the group to Help for Heroes Dorset Co-ordinator Mike Court at Bovington Tank Museum.
Staff from Crossways travel also attended the presentation as they help to operate the whist holidays.
Gordon Thorner, a member of the whist group, said they were pleased to raise money for the charity as supporting injured servicemen and women and their families was extremely important.
