BOVINGTON Tank Training Ground hosted a gruelling mud run event on Saturday - aptly named the Dirty Devil Stampede.
Runners tackled three distances - either five, 10 or 15km – over the punishing terrain usually used to put the army’s heavyweight fighting machines through their paces.

This was one of the first times the area had been used to host a public event.
A spokesman said: “You encounter trails, hills, mud, a lot of water, the sheep dip and the knife edge. So what’s not to like?
“It’s tough, sure, but we know you wouldn’t want it any other way.”
