I REFER to recent letters about children playing chicken' with traffic Children in Winterbourne Abbas play chicken with traffic on the A35 every weekday morning - but not for fun.
It's bad enough when children do this for kicks or through ignorance but when they have to play games with speeding cars because the council won't do anything about it, it becomes incomprehensible.
Perhaps with the new legislation coming out in April, that no longer necessitates five fatalities before a permanent speed camera can be placed, the traffic will be curbed.
